Dear Friends at Daraja,
I want you to know that there are many of us at the University of San Diego who think of you often. A successful book fair fundraiser was held on your behalf and all were anxious to buy great books and contribute to your school. Colorful photos of students, teachers and the school were on display.
I teach the Elementary and Secondary Reading Methods courses at USD as well as an international course on inclusive education held in Lithuania each summer. My greatest dream has always been to travel to Kenya. As soon as I saw the school’s website last year, I knew that I had to visit. I know that this year is the right time because of your school. I will be there in June! While I am excitedly planning some writing lessons, I know that I will learn a great deal from you.
The soul of your school has spoken to me.
