It’s going to be a wild ride this year! Daraja Academy is an official 2012 Bay to Breakers partner and we are recruiting the best of the bay to run for these wonderful girls. Strap on those running shoes and a funky costume because Daraja is coming out in full force this year!

What’s happening? 104 Bay to Breakers participants will be partnered with the 104 girls on campus. On the same day, both groups will be running the same distance to bring funding and awareness to girls education!

2012 Race Game Plan
Since space is limited and we are trying to raise money for the 2012 Daraja class, we are asking that everyone commit to getting 10 sponsors to support their race. You can be a Daraja team member as runner/walker or a cheerleader. (Cheerleaders do not have to be at the race.) In addition, we will be dividing the team into 10 groups with 10 team captains. Teams will be put together based on similar interests and it will be a great way to train and motivate each other! A few of those teams will include a formal training program for Daraja team participants that truly want to test their endurance. In short, it’s going to be a blast!
